Procure and maintain all needed operation and facility supplies (Forklifts, Washing Machines, etc).Perform self-inspection on service centers relative to production and safety.Resolve any quality problems/complaints.Achieve budgeted financial goals for service center.Establish and maintain professional relationship with local customer.Direct continuous improvement to maximize efficiency and eliminate waste throughout facility.Provide leadership to employees by demonstrating ORBIS standards and expectations on an everyday basis.Daily review of production metrics and KPI’s (Labor expense, Forklift/Machine Repairs, Cost/Sort, Sorts/Hour).Oversight and enforcement of ORBIS Safety Programs.Maintains industry, professional and technical knowledge by networking, attending industry events, and reviewing professional publications.Provides guidance on staffing, training, employee relations and performance management to develop and enhance the salaried and hourly shipping and receiving team, working closely with direct reports.Accountable for departmental key performance metrics to ensure scorecard objectives are met.Maintains adequate staffing levels to assure production requirements are met.Collaborates with cross-functional leaders to support continuous improvement initiatives to drive operational excellence.Coordinates with key stakeholders to meet internal and external customer on-time-delivery demands.Directs and participates in cycle counts and physical inventory processes as required.Manages inventory of shipping materials and supplies, including stretch film, poly bags, shrinks, glue and any consumable materials needed.Maintains month-to-month inventory of work-in-process product and finished goods.Manages dock traffic and ensures that all logistics suppliers follow appropriate policies and procedures.Directs and manages shipping and/or receiving orders, including loading trucks, inspecting materials or product, and reconciling advanced shipping notices and bills of materials to assure accuracy.Manages warehouse operations including receiving, shipping, inventory, and warehousing to assure company objectives in the areas of safety, productivity, quality, customer service, cost and profitability.Also ensures that orders arrive and are dispatched on time to the appropriate destinations and in the expected quantities.
